Bonaire

We loved Bonaire! Just as everyone ahead of us told us we would. The town, the people, the other cruisers, the water. The water, the water, and everything under the water. This is known as a diver's paradise and we were not disappointed.

We had our first medical mishap this morning when Kaylee hit the deck with her chin while doing some exercises and stretching (the stretch was my idea and led to the fall, so I will claim fault). She was a trooper and walked to the hospital holding ice to the wound to get three stitches.

Now it is time to move on. We could easily stay here months as many here do, but the weather, winds and waves are giving us a great opportunity to get around the cape over to Columbia. If our plans hold . . . I always say that because I feel like as soon as I say it or type it, it will change . . . we will sail for Aruba tomorrow then on to Columbia Tuesday through Thursday or Friday, depending on if we stop on the way.

So sorry to hear about Kaylee's mishap! Noi wants to know if Peanut got back to his/her home. And Scott hopes he can do an email interview with Ken about Aqua Vida's lithium battery system to use in a possible story about alternative power sources on boats.

So great to hear from you guys! I've been checking your blog to see your progress. Last I saw was Christmas in Martinique - where are you now? We arrived Cabo de Vela, Colombia today and will make our way to Santa Marta over the next two days. Kaylee is fine and we take the stitches out Saturday when we arrive. Peanut is also doing well, thanks for checking! He finally changed shells a little over a week ago. It was a quick panic moment when I picked up what I thought was his shell and no one was home. But all is well on the Peanut front - thanks again for taking such good care of him while we were away. And yes, of course Ken would love to participate in an interview about our lithium batteries. We will be in a marina when we reach Santa Marta so hopefully we will have reasonable
Internet access there. Talk soon!

Sorry, it's taken me so long to get back. We are back in PR now with major engine issues, but getting resolved. I have been without a laptop since St. Maarten and just got a new one in San Juan. So, I have a lot of writing and catching up to do. The LI story hasn't been sold yet, but I have a few more ideas. I'll let you know as soon as I find out. Glad Kaylee and Peanut are OK. Jealous of you guys in Colombia! My main email is scott_neuman@hotmail.com
