We are planning our next trip! Things are still a little fuzzy, but it looks like we are aiming for a departure date around Thanksgiving, probably just after. This time we plan to take a little more time and go a little further. Over the past six months we have started getting the boat ready and making a few upgrades . . . like this new door entry insert that allows to have plexiglass or screens in place.
We will still have the boards as well, but they have now been refinished and are looking much less raggedy.
Still on our list is to install some solar panels, a new radio, a new headsail and maybe some new cockpit cushions - funds allowing.
Our house in Tallahassee is on the market and we've had one contract that unfortunately fell through. If we don't sell in the next couple months, we will probably try to rent it out.
Kaylee is doing great in school (2nd Grade - can't believe it!) and is looking forward to homeschooling. We practiced a little over the summer and I think we will manage without bodily harm to either of us :-) She will restart her journal/blog once we get underway, so stay tuned for that link! Her writing has come a long way since the last trip.
That's it for now. I'll update again once we have a firmer departure date or something interesting occurs.
